Our commitment
EZ Designs wants everyone to be able to read this website and send an enquiry, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
This statement covers https://www.ezdesigns.co.il, including the homepage, the “Living abroad?” page, the privacy policy, and this page.
Accessibility coordinator
Elisheva Zuckerman is the accessibility coordinator for this website. Write to elisheva@ezdesigns.co.il or call 052-843-1441. If a page, a form, or a photograph is hard to use, tell us what you were trying to do and which page you were on. We will help you get the same information another way, and we will correct the barrier where we can.
The practice works in English and Hebrew. This statement is in English. Ask if you need it in Hebrew, or in another format such as a large-print email.
What we have arranged
- Pages use headings, a skip link, and labels tied to each form field.
- Photographs of the work include a written description. A duplicate “before” photo in the comparison slider is hidden from assistive technology, because the “after” description and the slider label name that control.
- The site can be used from a keyboard. A visible focus ring shows where you are, including inside the photo viewer. Escape closes the viewer, and the arrow keys move between photos.
- Text colours were checked against the WCAG contrast ratios for body text.
- If your device asks for less motion, the scroll-driven photo sequence stays a simple stack of pictures, and decorative movement is turned off.
Known limitations
- On a large screen with a mouse or trackpad, the selected-work section pins in place and changes photographs as you scroll. On a phone, with reduced motion, or without a hover-capable pointer, those photographs stack down the page instead. Both show the same projects.
- On a wide screen the opening headline sits over a photograph. On a phone it sits on the page background, under the photograph. If the overlay is hard to read, the photograph’s written description and the heading text are the same words you can select, and the coordinator can read them to you.
- This statement is based on a review of the pages, the code, and keyboard use. An outside specialist has not yet certified the site against IS 5568, and we have not completed a session with every screen reader.
- A few small copper-coloured marks, such as decorative dots, are lighter than the text. They are not the only way any information is given.
Compatibility
The site is a set of HTML pages. It is meant to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with the screen readers those browsers support. If you use an older browser and something fails, contact the coordinator and we will send the information directly.
